What would it feel like to get punched in the gut by advertising, kicked in the face by pop art and thrown up on by street graffiti? A lot like looking at painting by Denver based artist Scot Lefavor. With a clear disdain for the soul of print advertising, but a love for the techniques, Scot Lefavor’s style demonstrates his technical training in graphic design and print making mixed with a healthy dose of rebellion. Influences like Lichtenstein and Barbara Kruger are easy to spot in his work which is heavy on style as well as social and political commentary.
