This autumn, The Holdout is pleased to welcome Mark Jeffrey Santos for a two-week artist residency from October 23 – November 4, 2026.

During his time at The Holdout, Mark will develop a new body of work in dialogue with the landscape, architecture, and slower rhythms of rural Portugal. The residency offers visitors a chance to follow the evolution of an artist's practice at a formative moment in its development.

Works created during the residency will be available following its conclusion. A catalogue and collector preview will also be released, with early access sign-ups opening soon.

Andenken is proud to serve as the Official Gallery Partner of Territory: Frontieras Na Arte Pública Public Art, (Frontiers In Public Art) a major exhibition and 18-month cultural program presented by Armazém das Artes in Alcobaça, Portugal.

Opening Friday, October 2026, Territory brings together internationally recognized artists working in Portugal, celebrating the country's remarkable contemporary public art scene across murals, installation, sculpture, painting, and new media.

As Official Gallery Partner, Andenken will work closely with the exhibition and its participating artists to present available works, support collectors, and help document the project through a bilingual exhibition catalogue. Selected works from Territory will be available through Andenken throughout the exhibition's duration.
